Huawei is Giving Tough Time to Microsoft

Huawei Becomes The Third Largest Phone Manufacturer

Huawei is now the third largest phone manufacturer in the world leaving Microsoft behind. As per statistical surveying by Strategy Analytics, Huawei was the star of the last quarter.

It figured out how to develop its handset deals by 45 percent year over year and achieve 7 points market share of the industry. Microsoft's business which originated from the Nokia division.

It dropped from 11.8 percent to 6.4 percent and lost third place to Huawei. As a result, Huawei succeeded by shipping 30.6 million phones, nearly 50 percent more than last year.

Huawei is still behind Apple and Samsung which are on second and first position respectively. Apple holds the 10% percent of market share while Samsung is ahead with 20.5%.

Microsoft, which is outpaced by Huawei holds the fourth position after selling 27.8 million phones. This is nearly half the 50.3 million devices it sold last year over the same period.

Huawei is slowly rising towards the success. It has posed a serious threat towards Samsung and Apple after outpacing Microsoft. Huawei has been a strong performer in the past few quarters.

Thanks to the launch of the Ascend Mate7 last fall; which proved to be an ultimate success. Huawei's month to month shipments have been developing at a quick rate too.

It has reliably crossed the 10 million imprints since May. It is basically on track to meet its aim of 100 million phone shipments every year. It is also important to note that Huawei has also left behind Xiaomi.

The Chinese smartphone maker which held the fourth position previous year. Huawei has also planned the target of $80 billion annual revenue. It is ambitious to meet it in the next three years and is apparently on track to achieve its goal.

Huawei is definitely turning out to be the star of phone market. We are yet to see if Apple, Samsung etc. which are still ahead takes it seriously or not.
