Apple iCloud Voicemail uses Siri to Transcribe Voicemail

Apple is rumored to build an iCloud Voicemail that uses Siri to answer and transcribe calls.

A new Apple rumor surfaced today. Apple is supposed to work on an intelligent Voicemail system using Siri. The iCloud Voicemail will transcribe calls and even answer them.

Siri would tell callers where you are and why you can't pick up the phone to certain people reports Business Insider. James Cook says that the coolest feature of iCloud Voicemail is that Siri is transcribing voicemails.

Indeed transcribing voicemail is very cool. I use it since years. I stopped listening to my voicemail a long time ago on my Vonage VOIP line. I get an email with a transcript of the voicemail. It is not a genius Apple invention.

This is around since years. I am looking though forward to get this on my iPhone. 

According to the report, Apple is rolling out iCloud Voicemail next year. It would have been nice to get this in iOS 9. 

The question is how well it works in real life, having Siri answer calls. It would be of course awesome if she could arrange appointments with the caller. Another cool feature would be to tell Siri what to answer when a certain person calls. 

"Siri", If my mom calls tell her. Yes i am using protection."

The next big Apple event is moving closer. Early September Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6S. It will be not much of a surprise as leaks spoil the event already.
