AT&T Launches First DirecTV Combined TV and Wireless Plan Worth $200. The second-largest wireless carrier in US unveiled its phone & TV combo today.

AT&T recently acquired DirecTV last month. The wireless carrier company lost no time in unveiling its first package. The first bundle by AT&T includes mobile and television services. The package includes four wireless accounts with 10GB of sharable data.

High-definition video and digital video recording capabilities for four televisions are in the package. The package has a promotional price of $200 a month. The bundle will officially be available from the 10th of August.

“Today is the first of many planned moves to enable our customers to enjoy a premium entertainment experience almost anywhere,” said Brad Bentley, executive vice president and chief marketing officer, AT&T Entertainment and Internet Services.

“We’re going to deliver more TV and entertainment choices to more screens – when and where our customers want it. And we’ll offer incredible value with more flexibility and convenience through our integrated packages that deliver a great experience.”

The bundle by AT&T is the first of its kind. The package offers wireless and television services throughout the nation. The move was possible by combining AT&T's wireless resources with DirecTV's satellite TV service. Other services such as Cablevision and Verizon Wireless are also aiming to launch their mobile video service.

According to AT&T the bundle is the first of many more to come. AT&T customers will soon be able to enjoy premium entertainment experience nationwide. Many more moves are planned for the future. The AT&T services will now be available in more than 2000 DirecTV retail stores.

“AT&T is wasting no time extending the benefits of its DIRECTV acquisition to consumers,” said Roger Entner, founder, Recon Analytics LLC. “With this newly integrated offer, it’s clear AT&T is focused on offering value on top of convenience to win new customers and become a leader in entertainment and communications.”

In another announcement AT&T listed its television packages for DirecTV and U-Verse. The packages range from $50 to $125. If customers take advantage of both services then they get a $10 discount. The discount will amount to a monthly bill of $200.

AT&T has also promised a $300 bill credit for customers when they buy an AT&T smartphone. Previously other cable companies offered such services but customers were not interested. AT&T is betting customers will be interested now.
