Is this the iPhone 6C Battery?

An new Apple battery surfaced that has a too low capacity for the iPhone 6S, but could fit the bill for a new iPhone 6C - which supposedly is cancelled.

A mysterious battery surfaced from the Asian supply chain. This iPhone battery has a capacity of 1710mhA. The iPhone 6 has a 1810mAh battery. It is therefore more than likely that this is not the iPhone 6S battery.

This battery leaked by French NowWhereElse could belong to the iPhone 6C. The problem with that iPhone is that Apple has cancelled it - at least this is what the rumor mill said a couple months ago.

The surfacing of this iPhone battery could though mean that Apple has not scraped the plans for an iPhone 6C. Apple did not update the colorful entry-level iPhone last year. There is demand for an 4-inch iPhone, but it needs to have up-to-date specifications.

NowWhereElse is on a role lately. Over the weekend Steve Hemmerstoffer leaked the iPhone 6S display assembly that is the first confirmation of Force Touch we have seen.

Before that he leaked the iPhone 6S front panel straight from the factory assembly line.

I like how Hemmersdorfer photoshopped the url of NowWhereElse onto the iPhone battery description - nice touch.

Apple is expected to unveil the iPhone 6S in early September.

The iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus will keep the iPhone 6 design, but will bring performance enhancements and Force Touch.
