Microsoft recently announced the release of a new presentation program. The app is called ‘Sway’ and is an alternative to Microsoft Power Point. The app is available for free on the Windows 10 and the Apple iOS.

"We are excited to announce that our digital storytelling app, Sway, is moving from Preview to General Availability! Sway is also moving beyond First Release and rolling out to all eligible Office 365 for business and education customers worldwide," states Microsoft in an official blog.

"This makes it possible for many additional businesses, schools and other organizations to start using Sway to create and share interactive reports, presentations, assignments, lessons, projects and more. And of course, any consumer can use Sway with a free Microsoft account. Today, we are also introducing Sway for Windows 10, along with new layout and publishing capabilities."

Sway is a modern take of a slide show app. Sway allows photos, text and videos to be arranged in an interactive deck. The collection can be taken from personal storage or from social media accounts such as Twitter.

The app is also a reaction to other popular interactive tool such as Prezi and Canva. Sway will offer a slicker and cheaper take on presentation and slideshows.

Previously Sway was available in its beta testing phase on iOS devices. Devices such as iPhone and iPad can avail Sway. On Wednesday Microsoft announced Sway is now available on the Windows 10. Windows 10 were recently released on the 29th of July. Sway will be able to run on PC’s and tablets both on Windows 10.

Sway is another representation of how Microsoft has been trying to change its approach. After Satya Nadella becomes CEO Microsoft has been trying to reach more customers.

Microsoft was famous for only selling software’s at high prices. Microsoft has been offering more internet based apps and services from last 18 months . Microsoft has been launching many apps for free. Only charges on extra features are being applied. Sway does not have any extra features, so does not require any extra charges.
