Dr. Dre is going to donate his album royalties as he wants to fund arts center in Compton.

Dr. Dre has finally released his third album after 16 years. The renowned rapper released Compton on Thursday. He has made it available to stream on Apple Music.

This new album by Dr. Dre is also said to be the official soundtrack of the upcoming movie, Straight Outta Compton. This movie has been based on the story of the hit rap group N.W.A.

Dr. Dre, 50, hasn’t been in the limelight for more than a decade. But he has kept himself busy in mentoring other rappers. Kendrick Lamar and the ‘Lose Yourself’ entertainer are examples.

Dr. Dre started the Beats Electronics. But in a shocking move, he sold it to Apple for $3 billion in 2014 which made him the highest paid musician.

Apart from Lamar and Eminem’s voice the Compton features the voices of Ice Cube, King Mez and Anderson Paak. The new album by Dre contains 16 soundtracks and also features Snoop Dogg, The Game and many more.

Now the interesting part is that Dre will be donating his new album proceeds to an art center in Compton. He wants to build that art and entertainment facility.

Dr. Dre announced this news on his radio show ‘The Pharmacy With Dr. Dre’. He stated that he feels this is the right act. And he just hopes that everyone appreciates what he has done in this album, according to E! News.

He will be working with none other than the Mayor of Compton, Aja Brown for arts center. He stated that he has reached out to Aja quite a number of times in the last two months.

He explained that he really wanted to do something special for Compton. But he had no idea what to do. Aja was the one that gave him the idea about this project. And he instantly liked the idea, according to RollingStone.

Now apart from so many artists being a part of this album the people out there love it. Twitter has blown up with positive reviews and even the critics have come up good remarks for the album.

But one thing from the album is quite clear that Dre’s relationship with women isn’t progressive.

On the Ice-Cube featuring ‘Issues’ there is a violent act at the end. A woman is murdered and then dragged into the woods and buried. After that we can hear Eminem say “I even make the bitches I rape cum,” according to Billboard.

He also talked about the release of Detox. He stated that he likes to be honest with his fans. And he revealed that the album wasn’t that great.

He explained that he thinks he hasn’t done a good job on Detox and so he will not release it as it won’t be fair to his fans. Yet he maintained that Compton is his grand finale and it is the best album he has made so far.
