Although reports suggested the reality star had been hospitalized a close source claims they are wrong.

Kim Richards the reality star was recently arrested for shoplifting. Following the incident it was reported Richards has been hospitalized. But the reports are false as Richards is out and about in LA.

The news came from a source close to the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star. Even though the star is in a legal and mental dilemma Kim Richards is not locked up.

On Saturday reports emerged saying Kim Richards has been hospitalized. The 5o year old reality star was allegedly checked into a hospital by family members, reported ETonline. Earlier reports even suggested concerned family members are considering an involuntary psychiatric hold. The psychiatric hold is called 5150.

The reports starting emerging a week after Kim Richards was caught shoplifting at Target in LA. Kim had stolen toys worth $600 from the store in San Fernando Valley. As a result of the incident Kim was arrested.

The star spent a night in jail and was released on bail worth $5000. Kim Richards has pleaded not guilty to the charges of shoplifting. A court date of 20th August has been set.

Dr. Robi Ludwig psychotherapist shared Kim’s behavior indicates towards a crisis. The reality star is depressed and trying to self-medicate. Kim Richards herself revealed she had a relapse at her daughter’s wedding. Kim was being treated by a team. The team consists of a psychiatrist, life coach, sponsor, acupuncturist, trainer and a chiropractor.

Kim Richards was previously arrested back in April. The charges were public intoxication, trespassing, resisting arrest, and battery. The incident occurred at a Beverly Hills Hotel.
