"Jackass" star and notable animal advocate Steve-O was arrested Sunday night after he climbed his way to the top of a construction crane while holding a blow up whale, according to the LA Times. More than 80 firefighters were called to the scene, which at first was suspected to be an attempted suicide.

However, while the crews were preparing the air rescue cushion for him to fall onto, Steve-O, who had done stunts and comedy routines similar to this before, took pictures and posted videos of himself on social media.

“It's stunt time,” Steve-O wrote in his first post of the night, which included a nearly five-minute video documenting the initial moments of his ascent to the top.

Later, he posted a photo from his view. You could clearly see his shoes standing on the narrow beam. In the caption, he wrote, “Did I mention that I'm really high in the air? Hearing sirens now.”

The last photo that the star posted was a 17 second video with a ton of fire engines below him on the street and the sound of a helicopter overhead.

“That is a lot, a lot of [expletive] firetrucks,” Steve-O wrote in the video caption. “Anyone wanna bail me out of jail?”

LAPD Lt. Michael Ling confirmed to the LA Times that it was Steve-O, whose real name is Stephen Glover, that was arrested and booked on suspicion of trespassing, setting a firework without a permit, and conspiracy to commit a crime.

The LAPD, for their part, was annoyed:

"We have other people we need to attend to,” Ling said. “It’s a mess.”

Steve-O had an inflatable Orca with him and wore a t-shirt that said "Blackfish" on it, seemingly making a statement about Sea World.

This isn't the first time the star has done this. Just last year, he was charged with a traffic infraction when he defaced a SeaWorld sign on the freeway in San Diego. He posted a YouTube video in August 2014 showing him climbing up the freeway sign to attach the word "sucks'' after the words "Sea World."
