Samsung will unveil the new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge+ on Thursday. A leak on the French Samsung site revealed the pre-order date.
Samsung wants its new flagship smartphones to go on sale before Apple announces the iPhone 6S. This Thursday Samsung reveals the new Galaxy S6 Edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 at an Galaxy Unpack event.
Both phones have already leaked in full via press-images and more. Now Samsung has spilled the pre-order date for the new Galaxy phones on the French Samsung site.
The page has since taken down, but Dutch GalaxyClub got a screenshot. Customers can pre-order the Samsung S6 Edge+ starting August 21 until September 3.
The new Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ are powered by Exynos 7420 SoC (4x2.1GHz+4x1.5GHz) 8-core CPU. Both phones have a 5.66" display with 2560x1440px resolution.
4GB RAM and 32GB storage will be the standard. A 16MP camera will do duty on the rear and a 5MP camera on the front. Again Samsung leaves out the SD card slot.
The Galaxy Note 5 comes with a pen. In the leaked images the Galaxy edge+ and the Note 5 appear to have the same dimensions.
With the introduction of the new larger Galaxy phones, the current S6 and S6 Edge get a price cut. Samsung hopes to generate another sales push as the S6 is behind expectations.
