The saga between Kelly Rutherford and her husband Daniel just got a lot more complicated. The actress, who has made her quest for complete custody of her children public knowledge, just lost custody of her children. According to TMZ, both of her children were just ordered onto a plane and will return to Monaco.
Just a few moments ago, a judge enforced a court order that gives Daniel the right to keep his two children with him in Monaco while he figures out his residency problems in the United States.
Kelly, who had her children flown over at the start of summer, amidst complaints, refused to return the children when their time together ran out. Kelly argued that the United States courts, which went all the way to state Supreme Courts, had no right to order their return. However, the judge today disagreed.
Kelly also didn't start off on the right foot. The children were supposed to be in the court room, but Kelly didn't want them there because of the amount of press present. The judge ordered press out of the courtroom and had the children brought in through a side door. It held up court for at least an hour.
Daniel Gierch isn't allowed in the United States due to via issues, so his mom and lawyer were there to represent him. TMZ says that the children's paternal grandmother took them immediately from the courthouse to the airport.
There will another hearing on September 3, 2015, in Monaco to see about more permanent solutions. Previously, Kelly reached out to the White House and other government officials, but many people have said that the children’s proper place is with their father.
