Lenovo's New ThinkPads Are Powerful With Intel Xeon Processors

Intel's Mobile Intel Xeon Processor makes its debut in Lenovo's new Thinkpads

For those who wish to have a notebook that will survive the extensive torture of your work load. Lenovo has finally made the ThinkPad for the power hungry users.

The Lenovo ThinkPad P50 and P70 are intended for individuals who require a lot of power on the go. Lenovo’s impressive new ThinkPads will offer Intel’s latest Skylake processors.

They will additionally have up to 64GB of RAM and up to 1TB of SSD memory. Two USB-C Thunderbolt 3 ports for super-quick information exchange and optional 4K displays will also be present.

The Xeon processors powering both notebooks are based on Intel's Skylake building design. It is the most important upgrade in the Intel’s technique of enhancing chips.

It is manufactured with the same 14nm procedure as its Broadwell ancestor. However the processor will be compositionally much better.

Essentially, these notebooks are the battleships of the mobile PC world: big and very powerful. The ThinkPads come with a new Nvidia Quadro GPU and an optional 4K UHD display.

The other options for the display are an FHD or FHD Touch display. Connectivity will be through the four USB 3.0 ports. One port will be supporting always-on charging option.

There will also be one USB-C Thunderbolt 3 port on the P50 and two on the P70, a Mini DisplayPort and an HDMI port.

The P70 is also offering something some PC users will have forgotten about: an optional DVD-RW drive. Costs for the P50 begin at $1,599 and for the P70 at $1,999.

The clients will be given their choice of operating system. They will be including Windows 10, 8.1, 7, or Ubuntu, and also the alternative of 4K and touch displays.

The notebooks are expected to go on sale sometime in the fourth quarter this year.
