  • Aston Martin will Launch an Electric Sedan in 2 Years!

The luxury British car brand is aiming to mass produce its first electric car.

British car brand Aston Martin has been working on an electric car. According to reports the electric car will be a sedan by the luxury car brand. The car will hit the market in the next two years.

Aston Martin is working towards mass production of the car in a short span. The news was announced by the chief executive of Aston Martin. The news was confirmed by the Automotive News on Tuesday.

The luxury car brand has been expanding its horizon for some time now. The car makers first saw an increase in their capital in April. The rise in capital came after the new CEO Andy palmer was appointed.

Palmer was appointed only one year ago to turn the focus of the company around. The company had been struggling with its finances before.

The brand is trying to expand its range into new vehicle categories. The company has been delving into electric and hybrid cars.

The new sedan will be an electric version of the Aston Martin's four-door Rapide. Palmer shared the new car will consist of more than 800 horsepower.

One of the reasons the company is going electric is to minimize the CO2 emissions. Authorities in the US and Europe have been coming up with more regulations on emission limits.

So electric and hybrid cars are the option of the future in the automobile industry.

Even plans for an all-electric DBX crossover sporty utility vehicle were revealed in March. Aston Martin expects they will be finished with the car by 2019.
