This new iPhone app will blow your Geek Mind.

A new app is only for Geeks that can remember what a VHS tape is and what a camcorder is. LA based Rarevision created the absolute retro video app that shoots videos that look and sound like videotape recording from the 80s.

The VHS Camcorder app nails all the details including time stamp display (date can be set) and distortions. While recording users can degrade the picture in real-time by moving the finger over the preview or shake the iPhone.

Rarevisions suggests to use the app to prank your friends to think you have invented a time machine. You can also for instance make videos of your kids and make them look like your childhood videos.

BBC's Marc Blank-Settle used VHS Camcorder app to make a great fake BBC Building history video.

The VHS Camcorder app sells for $3.99 on iTunes, via TechCrunch.
