Three American dudes on a trip to Europe take down a terrorist on a train. Beat that vacation story.

It is a nightmare. Imagine sitting on a train from Amsterdam to Paris when suddenly a gunman opens fire. This is what happened on Friday. Thanks to three young Americans the terrorist could be stopped. Spencer Stone, Alek Skarlatos, and Anthony Sadler had for sure other things on their mind traveling Europe than fighting a terrorist.

With the help of a Brit called Chris Norman the three dudes attacked the fully armed gunman and took him down. The terrorist later identified as Ayoub El-Qahzzani from Morocco was armed with an AK-47, handgun and carpet knife.

Spencer Stone was cut several times. He was the first to get a hold of the terrorist in the high-speed Thalys train. The three Americans and the Brit hit the gunmen until he was unconscious.

Ayoub El-Qahzzani only could injure one passenger before the American guys took him down.

Alek Skarlatos is a specialist in the Oregon Army National Guard returning from Afghanistan.

Spencer Stone is an Airman First Class. Anthony Sadler Jr., a friend of the two servicemen is not a military guy. The three know each other since childhood.

This story is amazing and scary at the same time. Anywhere and anytime a lone wolf can attack. Why did Ayoub El-Qahzzani choose to board the Thalys train? Why a train? What is the pattern? Likely there is no pattern.

No government agency is able to protect people from such attacks. Only dudes like Spencer Stone, Alek Skarlatos, and Anthony Sadler
