Tim Cook is on Good Morning America Talking End Digital Divide in Schools

Apple CEO Tim Cook has something to announce this morning.

Just in time for back to school, Apple CEO Tim Cook has an announcement to make. He will be on Good Morning America on ABC this morning. GMA announced the interview in a Tweet saying that Robin Roberts will discuss with Tim Cook a new plan to end America's public schools' digital divide.

Tim Cook did not reveal anything new in the ABC interview this morning. Just talked about the support in ConnectED.

Robin Roberts is already an Apple Watch adopter. She can be seen wearing it in a photo with Tim Cook.

To appear on breakfast TV means that Apple has something significant to announce. Apple is already active in education programs. Today's announcements is likely something new. Apple is sitting on huge pile of cash. To take some of that and invest it into schools is good for America but also good for Apple in the future.

Good Morning America starts at 7am ET on ABC. It is not known when the interview with Tim Cook is on.

Apple is expected to unveil the new iPhone 6S in a media event on September 9. There is no official announcement yet, but the invites should come as early as next week.
