Jaguar might be thinking of making a family of SUVs.

An inside source has claimed that Jaguar is thinking of bringing a whole new lineup of small and large SUVs which would begin with the F Pace.

The company is planning a radical family of premium SUVs. That will run alongside the new F-Pace which is slated to launch early next year. The range could include a baby rival to the Mini Countryman and Audi Q1.

The F-Pace when it comes out will be the first competitor Jaguar has had to the likes of BMW’s X models and Audi’s Q range. This could potentially open up thousands of new sales for the company.

It is because the SUV market is still expanding. Apart from this company insiders have stated that we should not think of just one SUV but a family of SUVs.

The smallest Q1-sized SUV is said to be a little more than 4 meters in length. And the company is even believed to see more brand cachet in a small SUV than in a super-mini.

Jaguar will also be able to charge more for a jacked-up baby model than it would a rival for the Audi A1 or Mini hatchbacks, according to RoadandTrack.

Moreover a larger model than the F-Pace is currently not a part of Jaguar’s plans. So this intention of not making a larger model than the F-Pace could mean that coupe versions could be in the plans.
