The first smartphone from the Chinese joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad leaks ahead of unveiling.

Yet another smartphone brand is pushing onto the crowded market. Chinese QiKU, a joint venture between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad leaks ahead of the imminent launch.

End of last year Chinese anti-virus software maker Qihoo 360 and hardware maker Coolpad announced a joint venture to make mobile devices.

The QiKU (Qihoo 360 brand) and Dazen (Coolpad brand) branded phones feature a dual lens camera and according to Evan Blass have dual biometric security. Users of the QiKU smartphone can access the phone via the fingerprint sensor in the back or via Iris identification.

QiKU is set to launch more than one smartphone. The flagship phone pictured has according leaked specifications a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 64-bit hexa-core CPU, 5.5-inch 1080p FHD display, 3GB RAM and 32GB storage.

It is not clear yet what the dual lens camera can do. We will find out as QiKU is scheduled to host a media event in Beijing today unveiling their first smartphone according to Gizmochina.

Just yesterday a new smartphone brand launched in the UK with WileyFox. The new crop of smartphone startups is aiming at the flagship smartphone segment. At some point these rising companies will become a problem for Samsung.
