Youtube announced in June to launch a Twitch alternative with Youtube Gaming. The service comes as a new app and website to keep users connected to the games, players, and culture that matter to them, with videos, live streams, and the biggest community of gamers on the web.

From "Asteroids" to "Zelda," more than 25,000 games will each have their own page, a single place for all the best videos and live streams about that title. You’ll also find channels from a wide array of game publishers and YouTube creators.

Initially the service is only available in the United States and the UK.

Video game videos are a huge trend and Youtube will now have destination for fans of the genre. Youtube gaming brings together all video game related videos including live video game streaming.

Google has reportedly planned to buy Twitch, but Amazon won the deal.
