Apple iPhone 6S comes in Copper

The rumors about the fourth color got a new twist. Now a copper like color comes into play. To top things off, Force Touch might not be called Force Touch in the iPhone 6S.

The rumors about the fourth color option of the iPhone 6S have been confusing lately. First rumors said that there will be rose gold option. Then it shifted to a full on pink color. Next came reports that there will be no fourth color option.

Today 9to5Mac reports that there will be a forth color to chose from. It will be a copper like color. Think of it as rose-gold done on anodized aluminum.

I am sceptic if this color is appealing to consumers. Given the social attention the fake images of a bubble gum pink iPhone 6S got, Apple should aim at that.

Another interesting tidbit from the most recent 9to5Mac iPhone 6S report (they did a lot of these today) is that Apple might call Force Touch something different on the iPhone. This is interesting, but confusing. The user experience will be different to that on the Apple Watch, but the core concept is the same.

We will see if that really happens.

Rumored features of the iPhone 6S include force touch screen, A9 CPU, reinforced aluminum shell and 12MP camera. The iPhone 6S is also rumored to adopt the motion wallpapers from the Apple Watch.

The iPhone 6S is not a dramatically new iPhone compared to the iPhone 6 but demand will likely set a new record.

Apple has reportedly ordered close to 90 million iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus units for 2015.

As the event will take place at a larger venue than usual (7,000 seats) we expect more than the iPhone 6S to be unveiled. Possibly new Apple products include iPad Pro and Apple TV.
