The Chrysler 300 SRT dead in the US but will be updated elsewhere.

The Chrysler 300 SRT is now officially dead in the United States. However the sedan’s big V8 still continues to continue in a number of other markets around the world.

The model has even just received a refresh abroad to fit the standard version’s recently updated styling.

Plus reports suggest that in countries like Japan, Australia, South Korea, South Africa and a few other places will be able to stop by their local Chrysler dealer soon in order to pick up some of this imported muscle.

Now coming to the refreshed look of the 300 SRT the vehicle’s 6.4 liter V8 still remains under the hood producing 470 horsepower and will now be hooked up to an eight speed automatic gearbox.

The LED lights will be added in the lower air dam along with a reshaped mesh grille with the SRT logo and a simplified design for the taillights, according to Autoblog.

According to a Chrysler spokesperson the main reason behind the 300 being dead in the US is due to FCA’s focus on SRT as a Dodge based performance brand.
