New report claims that the new Apple TV will be priced below $200. We expect multiple memory configurations at different price points.

If rumors about an Apple TV with App Store are true, than we actually expect several memory configurations with different price points.

A new report on 9to5Mac says that the new Apple TV will start at $149 or $199 and ship in October.

This price point would though point to a low storage configuration in our opinion.

There are lots of power users out there that want a lot of storage for apps. 16GB or 32GB a $149/$199 box would have is just not enough for many.

The new report says that Apple will keep the current $69 Apple TV in the line-up as entry level model. Apple would even make the Cable TV replacement service available on this low cost Apple TV in 2016.

We are genuinely excited about the promise of an Apple TV that can run apps from the app store.

The Apple TV has now a shot at dominating the living room. Not just with HomeKit devices, but also for media, TV and games.

Apple has booked a big 7,000 seat venue for the September 9 event. Besides the iPhone 6S, the Apple TV is likely playing a major role in the event.
