Acer announces Windows 10 Mobile Phones M330 and M320 before Microsoft

Acer surprised with two Windows 10 Mobile smartphones at the IFA 2015.

Acer announced at the IFA 2015 6 new phones. The big surprise are two Windows 10 Mobile smartphones, beating Microsoft to the punch. Microsoft is expect to unveil the Lumia 950 and 950 XL in October.

The Acer Liquid M330 and Liquid M320 run on Windows 10 Mobile. Both Acer Windows 10 Mobile phones are low-end, leaving a lot of room to the Microsoft flagship Windows 10 devices.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MS 8909) processor powered 4.5-inch M330 (measuring 136 x 66.5 x 9.6 mm) has 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. The FWVGA wide view angle screen complements the 5MP front facing and 5MP rear camera. Connectivity comes in the form of Cat4 LTE, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 EDR connectivity.

The Acer Liquid M320 is powered by the Qualcomm MSM 8209 processor and the 4.5-inch handset measures 136 x 66.5 x 9.6 mm. It offers 1GB RAM and 8GB storage, a FWVGA wide view angle screen and a 2MP front facing and 5MP rear camera. This handset comes with a standard 3G modem, and includes WiFi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth 4.0 EDR connectivity.

Acer has no specific release date yet for their Windows 10 smartphones. The Acer Liquid M330 will be sold in the EMEA (Europe, the Middle East and Africa) countries starting at 129 Euro ($135).
