Amazon Dash Button is Free

Amazon sees remarkable success with the unique Dash Button and decided to push it full force and make it free for Prime members.

Amazon announced today that the Dash Button is a success. The company launched with 18 Dash Buttons a month ago. With the Amazon Dash Button consumers can re-order staples where they keep them. This convenience apparently resonates.

A Dash Button user said: "I like how easy it is to order commonly used items quickly. In my case, baby wipes. When I notice I am getting low on the wipes I can very easily and quickly order more by simply pushing a button. A simple push button is much easier to operate than getting the computer or phone out, especially when holding a baby in the other hand. Additionally, I also like that the button has color coded LEDs to tell me whether or not the order went through. It makes it so much easier."

Amazon makes the Dash Buttons free now. Prime members can purchase each Dash Button for $4.99 and with their first button purchase, Amazon credits $4.99 to their account. This is a limited time offer.

In addition, Amazon launches 11 new Dash Buttons today. The new brands include Ice Breakers Mints, Orbit Gums, Hefty Trash and Storage Bags, Ziploc and more.

There are now 29 Dash Buttons available on

The Amazon Dash Button comes with a reusable adhesive and a hook. Consumers are able to hang, stick, or place it right where they need it.

When stock is running low, pressing the Dash Button will automatically re-order.

Dash Button setup works with the Amazon app to connect the button to the home Wi-Fi network. The app is also used to select the product that is associated with a Dash Button. Amazon sends an order alert to a phone, making it easy to cancel an order. The Dash Button responds only to the first press until the order is delivered.
