IFA: Asus ZenWatch 2 Is beautiful and Dirty Cheap

ASUS waterproof and dust proof watch arrives next month

Asus has announced that the Asus ZenWatch 2 will be available in two sizes. The new watch will be up for sale in the US starting next month.

The two sizes the Asus ZenWatch 2 will come in will be 49mm and 45mm sizes (1.63"/320x320px and 1.45”/280x280px) respectively.

You will have a choice of 18 different straps. The straps will also include a sportier-looking silicone band and masculine-looking gunmetal.

You can pair each with one of the 50 different ZenWatch faces. The watches can also be customized through FaceDesigner app.

The ZenWatch with 1.63-inch AMOLED display will be powered by a 400 mAh battery. The smaller version will have a 1.45-inch display and 300mAh battery.

Both the watches are IP67-rated. It means that they are dust tight and waterproof up to 1m for half an hour.

Both watches feature the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB RAM, and 4GB storage. They’re also both water resistant and offer Wi-Fi support.

They also offer fast charging capabilities. Asus says both watches can charge up to 50 percent in just 36 minutes. The Watch also supports watch-to-watch communication.

Users will be able to send very short messages or emojis to other ZenWatch 2 users. The watch also includes a pedometer and an activity tracker.

The regular-sized ZenWatch 2 will cost €170 ($190 USD). The smaller version will be available for €150 ($170). Both watches will be available in October in the US.
