Sphero BB-8 Star Wars Robot Break Cover on GMA

One of the coolest Star Wars: The Force Awakens Toys has just appeared on Live TV.

Tomorrow is Force Friday. Disney orchestrated with retailers a major event to launch the new Star Wars: The Force Awakens toys at the same time. One of the hottest new Star Wars toy is the BB-8 droid made by Sphero.

In April Sphero announced that they are partnering with Disney and Lucasfilm to make a BB-8 droid toy. The official unveiling is tomorrow at 12:01am, but the toy has already made an appearance on live TV.

The smartphone controlled BB-8 rolled around at the GMA studio on ABC. Watch below.

The toy BB-8 works exactly like the one in the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens movie. The head unit floats on top of the rolling main body. It is magic.

Sphero will reveal the details about the BB-8 droid tonight at 12:01am on this page. The price for the Sphero BB-8 is expected to be $149. Update: Sphero just pushed the details online ahead of schedule. I assume because of the GMA feature. Watch below the full promo video.

Today Disney is unboxing many of the new Star Wars toys that go on sale tonight at midnight (Friday 12:01am). Several new Star Wars Lego sets have already been unveiled.
