Highlights of the Apple Event

There are plenty of highlights in today's Apple event.

The excitement for the Apple event is building. The hashtag #AppleEvent is trending in 5th place on Twitter in the United States three hours ahead of the Apple keynote in San Francisco.

The highlights of the September 9 event have all leaked. According to the latest rumors, today's Apple event is the only one this fall. Apple will unveil all major new products today. The highlights will be the iPhone 6S, iPad Pro and Apple TV 4. Apple is also supposed to unveil an updated iPad mini 4. That is the least exciting new product to be unveiled today.

As Siri has been put at the center of attention for the keynote, there could be a Siri related surprise. It could be possible that Apple is announcing Siri for Macs.

Despite all the leaks, the Apple event will be exciting to watch. There will no big surprises, but the way Apple is selling its new products is always very entertaining.

The Apple keynote will be streamed live starting at 10am PDT. The Apple Live stream works via Apple's HTTP Live Streaming (HLS) technology. HLS requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with Safari on iOS 7.0 or later, a Mac with Safari 6.0.5 or later on OS X v10.8.5 or later.

For the first time Apple events can be streamed on a PC. It works with Microsoft Edge on Windows 10. Streaming via Apple TV requires a second- or third-generation Apple TV with software 6.2 or later.

The Apple Store is currently down, which means that there will be new product(s) for purchase already today. A Product(RED) Apple Watch band has already leaked.

It is also expected that the new Apple iPad mini 4 goes on sale today. The iPhone 6S is supposed to be available for pre-order starting on Friday. Apple TV and iPad Pro are likely to be launched later this year.
