ToysRUs Holiday Toy List 2015 features Star Wars Toys and Lego Dimensions

It is the time of the year when retailers already release Holiday Toy Lists. The ToysRUs Holiday Toy List claims to be the only true hot toy list.

The Holiday Shopping season is slowly approaching. Parents who do not want to break a sweat have already locked in their first Holiday toys a week ago on Force Friday. I already got a talking Stormtrooper action figure from the new Force Awakens Star Wars movie. These collector's items are selling out quickly in stores.

Star Wars is going to be a dominating theme this holiday shopping season. It comes at no surprise that the 2015 ToysRUs Hot Toy List includes several Star Wars toys.

ToysRUs' 2015 Holiday Hot Toy List is comprised of 36 new playthings categorized by age from Baby’s First Christmas to Big Kids.

The toy retail chain has listed their top picks in the ToysRUs Fab 15:

  • Bright Beats Dance & Move BeatBo from Fisher-Price
  • Doc McStuffins Take Care of Me Lambie from Just Play
  • Imaginext Ultra T-Rex from Fisher-Price
  • PAW Patrol PAW Patroller from Spin Master
  • Barbie Saddle ‘N Ride Horse from Mattel
  • Little Live Pets Clever Keet from Moose Toys
  • Journey Girls 2015 Italy Holiday Doll from Toys“R”Us
  • LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack from Warner Brothers
  • Shopkins Fashion Boutique Playset from Moose Toys
  • Smart Toy Bear from Fisher-Price
  • Star Wars BladeBuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber from Hasbro
  • NERF N-Strike Modulus ECS-10 Blaster from Hasbro
  • Star Wars R2-D2 Interactive Robotic Droid from Thinkway Toys
  • Guitar Hero Live from Activision
  • Meccanoid G15 from Spin Master

“Determining our annual Hot Toy List is a year-long selection process we take very seriously. It is our mission to identify the very best playthings, giving parents and gift-givers the inside scoop straight from the toy experts on coveted items sure to leave kids smiling on Christmas morning,” said Richard Barry, Executive Vice President, Global Chief Merchandising Officer, Toys“R”Us, Inc. “We are proud that customers rely on the Toys“R”Us Holiday Hot Toy List as a trusted and valuable resource to help navigate the holiday shopping season even before kids start writing their wish lists.”

The featured Star Wars toys include the Star Wars BladeBuilders Jedi Master Lightsaber from Hasbro and an upcoming R2-D2 interactive robot from Thinkway Toys. Will R2-D2 fend off the new BB-8 droid? Sphero launched a smartphone connected BB-8 droid toy last week that has Star Wars fans captivated.

Besides Star Wars, the new Lego Dimensions game will be very popular. Lego Dimensions will compete with Disney Infinity and Skylanders.

ToysRUs has also announced this week to lower the free shipping minium to $19. This is a big cut from the rather outlandish $49 limit imposed before. The lower shipping minimum allows customers to order single items that just appear in stock without having to pay extra shipping.

Walmart, Target and others will release their 2015 Holiday Toy List as well soon. While toys that are in high demand should be purchased now, the bulk of toys will be available at discounts during the Black Friday, Cyber Monday and holiday shopping sales. The first Black Friday 2015 ads are expected to be released in mid-October.
