Imagine your kid's eyes on Christmas Day building a robot as tall as themselves.

Spin Master started to ship the new incredible Meccanoid G15 and Meccanoid G15 KS robot building sets. These interactive robots are huge and assembled with the classic Meccano (Erector) parts.

Meccanoid G15 KS

The top of the line Meccanoid G15 KS stands 4 feet tall and the cheaper Meccanoid G15 is 2 feet tall. The Meccanoid G15 KS is the tallest interactive toy robot we have encountered so far.

Kids can program the Maccanoid in three fun ways. With Learned Intelligent Movement (LIM) the kids move the robot limbs to program it. Another way is via a "RagDoll" avatar on a connected smartphone app.

The third option is motion capture. This works by attaching a smartphone on the robot and via the video camera the Maccanoid is able to mirror the movements the kid makes.

Meccanoid G15 KS and Meccanoid G15 also respond to voice commands with more than 1,000 pre-programmed phrases, including jokes and fun facts. The robots also walk with kids, shake hands and give a high-five.

The Meccanoid can be assembled into different shapes. It is as flexible as the classic Meccano / Erector sets.

The Meccanoid G15 KS and Meccanoid G15 do not only differ in size. The G15 KS has more motors, rechargeable Ni-MH battery pack and advanced articulation.

Available now, the Meccano Meccanoid G15 KS sells for $399.99 and the Meccanoid G15 has an MSRP of $179.99.
