Indian Government to have its own OS for official use.

India is ready to uncover its new and highly improved version of BOSS (Bharat Operating System Solutions) developed by C-DAC (Centre for Development of Advanced Computing).

This operating system is India’s own home grown operating system. The three month trial has already been tested on the system.

The three month trial proved this software to successfully protect itself from all kinds of harmful attacks.

Several important and powerful agencies like the Army and Intelligence were unable to break the software.

The Snowden report, a few times ago, unveiled that the US Intelligence Agency has scrutinized India the most.

But, with the development of this new OS India can take care of such matters because of its good protection for the individual computers as well as the networking.

The new software is developed with the help of Gujarat Technical University, DRDO and some other private computer manufacturers.

It is also rumored that the OS will be handed over to department of electronics and information technology (DEITY) in order to make it more efficient.

The Linux-based OS is considered to be as user friendly as Microsoft Windows. Microsoft currently powers most government computers in India.

For more details and information we will have to wait till later this week when it finally will be launched.
