10-inch Amazon Kindle Fire Tablet Leaks

Amazon is expected to expand its tablet segment in both directions.

The Amazon Kindle Fire tablet line-up for 2015 will include smaller and larger tablets. Last week a report said that Amazon will launch a $50 Fire tablet with a 6-inch screen in time for the Holiday shopping season.

Today @evLeaks posted an image of a new 10-inch Amazon Fire Tablet. Evan Blass says that the new 10-inch Fire Tablet is thin and handsome.

The image shows a very clean cut tablet. Amazon's key selling arguement is the low price. It will be interesting to see how the company positions the 10-inch Fire Tablet against the Apple iPad Air 2.

As the iPad Air 2 is not getting upgraded this year, there will be steep discounts on Black Friday and in Holiday sales on the iPad Air 2. This will be a problem for Amazon and they have to set a very aggressive price on the new Fire tablets.

The current top of the line Amazon Fire Tablet is the Fire HDX 8.9 starting at $399. The tablet is powered by a quad-core 2.5GHz CPU and has a 8.9-inch screen with 2,560x1,60px.

Apple and Microsoft are going to offer larger tablets this fall. Apple announced the 12.9-inch iPad Pro last week and Microsoft is expected to unveil an even larger Surface tablet at an event beginning of October.
