iOS takes the lead again in terms of adoption rate.

Apple is once again ruling the market. It is showing what a maestro it is in this field, because at the end of the day iOS 9 adoption rates are now nearing 20%, just a few days after it was launched.

Obviously, it is great that Apple can get this sort of mass updating done productively unlike Android. We should mention that the source is not official, so the close to 20% adoption rate is not confirmed.

Apple getting to 20% this rapidly is not really bewildering. According to figures from mixpanel and Apple claims, iOS 9 has been pulled in by 18% of users of the platform, just before the iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus ship with the software on board.

It should be kept in mind that just three days have passed since iOS 9’s launch. We all know about the mainstream iOS vs. Android update cycle.

Google has made no mystery that it would like higher selection rates for new versions of Android. So the company probably sees the recent 20% threshold that Lollipop passed as a solid enough milestone.
