  • Skype acknowledges technical glitch on its heartbeat site!

The post by Skype recommends using the web versions of Skype and ensures users a solution to the glitch is on the way.

Skype service is currently down on cell phones. A technical glitch has been detected in the server of Skype. Skype itself announced the news on its Heartbeat site and went on to say that they are working on a solution to the problem.

Until a solution can be found users should use the web version of the application. Leonas Sendrauskas is a web quality assurance engineer for Skype. Sendrauskas assured users that Skype is working on a fix. Sendrauskas also recommended using the Heartbeat site for further information as many users may have trouble loading the Skype forums today.

The glitch started affecting Skype services earlier today. Users found they could not make or receive calls on Skype. Users then started complaining about the problems on complaint forums.

Soon after, Skype posted a message saying they have detected an issue. The issue has been affecting Skype in a number of ways. The glitch is not allowing users to be able to change their status.

Since the Skype status remains offline users cannot go online and make or receive phone calls. Additionally, group chats are also facing problems. Messages in group chats are not being delivered. Even logging into Skype is taking longer than usual.

Skype is currently the most famous app used for making phone & video calls and texting people. The glitch is sure to cause many problems for users relying on the service. Skype also faces tough competition from Viber and WhatsApp. The problems have been found to exist only in the mobile and desktop versions of Skype.
