It's wild times for Volkswagen today. A German newspaper said that the Volkswagen Board of directors will oust CEO Winterkorn on Friday.

The German Tagesspiegel newspaper said today that CEO Winterkorn will be replaced on Friday in the Volkswagen board meeting. The report has been slammed right away by a Volkswagen spokesperson.

According to Reuters UK, the Volkswagen spokesperson said that the report that CEO Winterkorn to be replaced by Porsche CEO Mueller is ridiculuos.

It is hard to believe that Volkswagen would react that fast. It is possible though. Just earlier today Volkswagen revealed that 11 million cars are affected in the emission test scandal.

The German car maker needs someone to be blamed for the scandal. It could hit Winterkorn.
