Trevor says that he is going to involve the world more on the show while he is hosting and take a different direction than his predecessor Jon Stewart.

Jon Stewart was one of the very real and respectable hosts on daily television. He is a remarkable brand of his own. So it was hard to replace him when he announced his retirement. Comedy Central President Ganeless admits that it is a hard job and finding someone becomes all the more difficult.

The list becomes short and one has to find out where the suitable person is. He expressed that Trevor Noah has been the best person to succeed Jon Stewart. He said that we asked around and Trevor seemed like the best person for the job. He has a worldwide following and he is just as much liked and will be well received in US.

Noah is a 31 years old South African biracial comedian. He already has a great fan following and a great body of work in his resume. He performed in David Paul Meyer’s award-winning documentary film “You Laugh But It’s True” the story of his remarkable career in post-apartheid South Africa.

Noah’s one-man show “The Racist” at the 2012 Edinburgh Fringe was a sold out run that became one of the most talked about shows at the Festival that year. Recently, Noah performed for the Royal Family at the Royal Variety Performance.

He also appeared on the Tonight with David Letterman and Tonight with Jay Leno. Trevor also has his own late night show in South Africa; Tonight with Trevor Noah. He is on tour performing comedy onstage when Jon announced his decision to retire. Noah expressed his own excitement for being on the show.

There will be some changes on the show though. Noah admits that he has no inspirational idol. He says that he draws on the wisdom and talent of all his colleagues including Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert.

He is however looking to include more of the world in the show. Noah says that he had grown up in a world which had made him very perceptive of everything. That is something that the network realizes and blesses him in his endeavor to leave the channel oriented news reporting and criticism.

He wants to assimilate a balance between entertainment and politics with tinges of humor and wit equally shared and focused on the core of the news. Noah says that it is very important to look at the people that the news is based on rather than the news and its sensation.

Noah is ready to host The Daily Show. Kevin Hart is his first guest, followed later in the week by New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie and singer Ryan Adams,
