Trevor Noah made some inept blunders on the Daily Show. And this was his first time on the show.

Trevor Noah proved to be a big flop in the eyes of many critics on The Daily Show. He was meant to be a replacement for Jon Stewart but he handled the transition very badly.

According to the DailyBeast, Noah simply started engaging in crude humor of the bathroom variety. He even had the guts to make a vulgar joke and it involved the Pope somewhere in it.

Noah wore a grey suit and looked impeccable for all purposes. Yet his energy was of the nervous kind. He called his predecessor Stewart a crazy old dude. Most of his jokes were lame.

And they were rather in your face. They may have shocked some teenagers into laughing their heads off, but the mature people in the audience were not as amused as they should have been.

He joked about race since he had grown up in South Africa during the Apartheid regime. Some of his delivery lines fell flat on their face. There was a reference to Whitney Houston’s drug overdose-induced death.

According to USAToday, Noah still has a lot to learn. He is a novice in the field. And there is simply no comparison between him and Jon Stewart. Jon was a professional and a master of tact and wittiness.

Noah meanwhile is a hyperactive person who shoots from the hip. There is none of that fresh sense of light humor in his repertoire. According to NYDailyNews, Noah went for the overkill in his crass and classless humor. There is a fine line between a joke and a serious fact. Sometimes the mirth turns into misery as it did in his case.

Comedy Central will not be the same again with Noah in charge. But it is hoped he will pick himself up and start all over again. That is indeed the secret to success. The speedy and freaky Noah was simply a man with a motor attached to his mouth.

According to NYPost, Noah’s attempts at provoking laughter was not quite on target since he lacked so much of the tools-of-the-trade that Jon Stewart had in his arsenal. It was reported on EW that Noah’s style was that of the younger generation.

He was youthful, vibrant and showed a cosmopolitan influence in his language. Late night television hosts have to build their style over many years. They have to literally hone their linguistic skills to a razor blade in order to deliver the sharp and witty one-liners. As for Trevor Noah, he will ultimately make it but it will take some time before he reaches his prime.

According to Telegraph, when Trevor Noah became the man who would take the place of Jon Stewart everybody was fabbergasted. Who was this virtually unknown figure that was going to stand in for the great comedian and TV wit of wits.

The audience was naturally not hooked on Noah to begin with. They were rather cynical and his puerile jokes only added to their suspicions that he was not the sort of person suited to the platform.

The comedian is 31 years old thus he is mature enough to understand the adult world where childishness is frowned upon. Nevertheless, he got a thumbs up from several fans on Twitter.

The man has something in him despite not being a behemoth as regards comedy. Then there were those who were simply disappointed with him. Well, you cannot please everybody. And besides, those who try to please everybody end up being the unhappiest people on earth.

According to Variety, Noah almost tried to reinvent the wheel which was of course an impossibility. He mentioned John Boehner in the same breath as the Pope. The jokes reeked of the nether regions and many adults found them off putting to say the least. Kevin Hart joined him for a one-on-one interview and it didn’t go too well.

According to Mashable, Noah did make some small talk that seemed to go over fine with the people. This included the reference to the “same seat, different buttocks” line.

Noah expatiated to the audience about how he would be breaking down a barrier here and a color there. He was there to get rid of stereotypes which was a good thing. But there is always a subtlety to any punchline.

And Noah’s efforts at saving the joke from going limp as a cookie dipped in coffee simply failed one too many times. The sense of edginess and risque flavor that he lent The Daily Show made things too close for comfort.

According to TheBostonHerald, even the news about the discovery of water on Mars was taken in a manner that left dissatisfaction in its wake. We wish Noah good luck in the future for he definitely needs it!
