Skybuds Wireless Earbuds Hide and Charge in Smartphone Case

New York based startup Alpha Audiotronics is set to launch a Kickstarter funding campaign for a unique wireless earbud solution.

Wireless headphones and earbuds are adding a new convenience by getting rid of the wires. There are though new issues that come with wireless. These accessories need charging and in case of the small earbuds, these need a storage solution to not get lost.

Skybuds unveiled by New York based startup Alpha Audiotronics tries to solve these issues for wireless earbuds. The Skybuds earbuds store and charge in a smartphone case. The case has a 1,000 mAh battery integrated, providing additional power for the phone and earbuds.

Alpha Audiotronics, co-founded by Jamie Roberts Seltzer, will launch its patented Skybuds solution on Kickstarter in early October.

The company plans to deliver Skybuds in the second quarter of 2016. The company has a working prototype that has been in development for over a year according to Seltzer. Interested consumers can register on the Skybuds site to get notified when the Kickstarter campaign launches. There is no information about price yet.


The Skybuds Kickstarter project has launched and is off to a good start.
