Apple Watch Hermes is on Sale at Select Stores

Apple and luxury fashion label Hermes partnered for the Apple Watch and the result is a sophisticated Apple Watch. The Hermes Apple Watch collection is on sale starting today.

Apple announced a partnership with Hermes last month that takes the Apple Watch directly into the heart of luxury fashion. The Apple Watch Hermes edition look gorgeous, especially the Double Tour. The Apple Watch Hermes collection is launching today in select stores around the world. The Hermes Apple Watches are not sold online.

In the US, Apple Stores in major cities including New York, Miami, San Francisco and Los Angeles are carrying the Hermes watches. Today is certainly a good day for celebrity spotting at Apple Stores in LA. Besides The Apple Store at The Grove and South Coast Plaza and Third Street Promenade, celebs could also hit the Hermes store in Rodeo Drive and Maxfield at Melrose avenue. My bet is on the two latter stores to spot celebrity fashion victims.

Hermes created three leather bands for the Apple Watch Hermes collections: Single Tour, Double Tour and Cuff.

"At Hermès, we strive to provide our clients with elegant, creative and functional objects for their everyday lives,” said Pierre-Alexis Dumas, Hermès’ executive vice president in charge of artistic direction. “What more contemporary and relevant expression of this principle could there be than this collaboration with Apple. We are strongly united by the same deeply held ideas and principles. I see it as the establishment of an alliance in excellence; like horse and carriage, a perfect team.”

The Single Tour with the 38 mm stainless steel case comes in fauve Barenia leather, noir box leather and capucine Swift leather, while the Single Tour with 42 mm stainless steel case comes in fauve Barenia leather and noir box leather.

The Double Tour pairs with the 38 mm stainless steel case and is available in fauve Barenia leather and bleu jean, capucine and etain Swift leather. The Cuff pairs with the 42 mm stainless steel case and is available in fauve Barenia leather only.

Across the collection, each stainless steel case features an etching of the Hermès signature and includes a customizable face with three exclusive dial designs inspired by Clipper, Cape Cod and Espace Hermès watches.

Apple Watch Hermès starts at $1,100 for the 38 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour, $1,150 for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Single Tour, $1,250 for the 38 mm stainless steel case with the Double Tour and $1,500 for the 42 mm stainless steel case with the Cuff.

The most expensive Apple Watch models with steel case sell for $1,049. The Hermes editions are adding a couple hundred Dollars. The focus is on female buyers. This is why two of the three Hermes editions come with the small 38mm Apple Watch.

The collection is available in select Apple retail stores, select Hermès stores, specialty stores and department stores beginning today in Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Italy, Japan, Korea, Russia, Singapore, Switzerland, the UK besides the US.

While we expect interesting Apple Watch Black Friday deals, we do not think that the Hermes collection will be on sale this holiday shopping season. As reported, the regular Apple Watches are now also available at Target stores. Target RedCard holders already save 5%. In Black Friday 2015 ads, we expect Apple Watch deals taking $100 and more off the retail price. Especially the higher priced models will get steep discounts. The Apple Watch Sport will have modest discounts of around $50.
