Skybuds Wireless Earbuds launched on Kickstarter

New York based startup Alpha Audiotronics has launched the Kickstarter funding campaign for a unique wireless earbud solution.

The Skybuds wireless earbuds launched on Kickstarter today and are off to a great start. The Skybuds project has already raised over $40,000 from 117 backers. The funding goal is $200,000.

Wireless headphones and earbuds are adding a new convenience by getting rid of the wires. There are though new issues that come with wireless. These accessories need charging and in case of the small earbuds, these need a storage solution to not get lost.

Skybuds developed New York based startup Alpha Audiotronics tries to solve these issues for wireless earbuds. The Skybuds earbuds store and charge in a smartphone case. The case has a 1,000 mAh battery integrated, providing additional power for the phone and earbuds.

The lowest priced Skybuds package in the Kickstarter campaign sells for $224. The regular price is set at $299.

Alpha Audiotronics, co-founded by Jamie Roberts Seltzer plans to deliver Skybuds in the second quarter of 2016. The company has a working prototype that has been in development for over a year according to Seltzer.
