Batman v Superman: The Most Expensive Hollywood Film Ever?

Latino Review claims the film had a huge budget of roughly $410 million, the biggest in Hollywood history.

It seems Warner Bros. and DC comics have a lot depending on the upcoming film Batman Vs Superman: Dawn of Justice. Rumor has it the film has turned into the most expensive Hollywood film ever.

Latino Review has reported the film Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice had a budget of roughly $410 million. If the rumor proves to be true then it will be the most expensive film production in Hollywood history.

The Zack Snyder’s directed film will need to rake in a lot of big bucks if the rumors are true. Any chance of failure will prove to be economically fatal for the studio.

If the rumor is true then it means the upcoming film is even more expensive than the previous DC Universe adaptation. The last DC production Man of Steel only cost $225 million to make. The record for the most expensive film was previously held by the film Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides.

The huge cost could be due to the large number of cast members. The upcoming film will have a bevy of DC characters such as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, and Lex Luthor. The pay of all the actors combined with the cost of practical effects and scheduling costs may have made it an expensive production.

But Warner Bros. may have put in a lot of faith in Zack Snyder. The fact such a large sum of money was invested shows the Studio believes Snyder will deliver a hit. Another reason may be the fact Man of Steel did not receive a phenomenal response as was expected. So Batman Vs Superman is the last chance for DC to launch a franchise equal to the Marvel Universe.
