A survey of 2,000 consumers reveals the Top Tech Gifts for the Holiday season 2015.

The Holidays shopping season 2015 will likely be the strongest for consumer electronics ever. The CEA estimates that American consumers will spend $34.2 billion on tech gifts this year. This is a growth of 2.3% year-over-year. Consumer Electronics retailer Best Buy is excited about this outlook and has commissioned a nation-wide survey of 2,000 consumers to find out what tech gifts are on their minds.

The surprising most popular Holiday 2015 tech gift is the Apple iPad according to the consumers asked in the Best Buy Survey. While we feature the iPad Air 2 in our curated Top 50 Holiday Tech Gifts for 2015 list, the number one spot is unusual. All iPad models will be on sale this Holidays season and on Black Friday. It will be one fo the Apple products offered with the steepest discounts.

Other favorite tech gifts include the Bose QuietComfort 25 Noise Cancelling Headphones, the Apple MacBook, Smart TVs in the size of 48 and 43 inch, FitBit Charge HR, Microsoft Surface, Apple Watch, iRobot Roomba robot, Samsung Galaxy Tab S2, GoPro Hero4, wireless speakers and Dyson vacuum cleaner.

The survey results have wide overlap with the tech gifts we have picked for our Top 50 Holiday Tech Gifts Guide. Apple has the most gifts in the Top 15 list with three, followed by Samsung with two products.

The survey also revealed that Millennials (18 to 34) are the top buyers of consumer electronics gifts.

Three times as many men (27.9%) as women (9.7%) want to receive tech gifts. Guys. This is important. Your wife or girlfriend might not be that excited about getting the newest MacBook or Smart TV for Christmas.
