3D touch by Apple is now being copied by other smartphone manufacturers.

Xiaomi, China’s leading smartphone manufacturing company, is expected to develop a smartphone that will have a technology similar to that of Apple 3D touch.

As per the report by Weibo, the company has filed a patent on a new technology that is similar to 3D touch.

In the past, Xiaomi has been accused, several times, of copying Apple’s devices and technology.

Not only Apple, but Xiaomi despite of having its own hardware, has allegedly been copying Samsung too.

It is important to note that Samsung is also working on some 3D Touch like technology for its Galaxy S7 smartphone.

The report does not include much about the patent or any information on how the new technology is supposed to work.

As per the reports and the rumors heard earlier, Samsung is using a Synaptics touchscreen controller in place of the 3D Force.

However, there has been no confirmation about it yet. As for the Apple’s 3D touch, it allows the users to press firmly on the screen of the device in order to open a menu or ‘Peek and Pop.’

The “Pop” function makes it able to look at the content behind the links and then pop it into some other place so that you can observe it clearly.

The use of similar technologies by other companies is implying that this feature is very easy and convenient for the users and Apple’s work is worthy of being copied.
