A year ago Walmart announced "The New Black Friday." The giant retailer called out 5 key elements that made up the "new" Walmart Black Friday: 5 days of sales events, more deals, 1-hour guarantee deals, interactive Black Friday ad and Black Friday store plans.

What will the Walmart Black Friday 2015 sale bring on new things this year? Online sales during Black Friday will be a big focus again for the company. Last year Walmart set a new record for online Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales. Customers viewed more than 1.5 billion pages on Walmart.com between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday, the 5-day period of the "New Walmart Black Friday."

Walmart has announced big investments in e-commerce over the next years to better compete with Amazon. What the struggling retail giant is able to do this Black Friday season is not clear yet. One way to compete with Amazon is to offer more deals on brand name products. Walmart has especially in the early Black Friday sales focused on no-name or older devices. Last year the iPad mini was one of Walmart's bestseller during the Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales.

The iPad mini was already outdated a year ago. Where Walmart offered great deals has been in video game hardware as well as select TV deals on brand-name devices have beaten Amazon.

Especially the 1-Hour guarantee deals have been again a big draw to the Walmart in-store Black Friday sale. Walmart could win the online Black Friday war this year if they would finally bring the 1-hour guarantee to the online store.

The 1-Hour Guarantee deals included last year a $648 65-inch Vizo 120Hz LED Smart TV, $218 50-inch LED TV, a $199 iPad mini w/ $30 Free gift card and a $29 Android tablet.

As reported earlier, Walmart and Amazon will kick off Black Friday 2015 sales on the weekend. The announcements of the early Black Friday 2015 sales are expected to come end of the week. This is when Black Friday fans will get the first taste of the Walmart Black Friday 2015 sale.

We have looked a some of the key products to see where Walmart's deals are ahead of the Black Friday sales. The lowest priced 32-inch TV is a $149.99 Sceptre X322BV-MQC HDTV. The cheapest Android tablet is selling on Walmart.com right now for $39.99. It is the 7-inch Ematic HD Quad Core Tablet running Android 4.2

The Apple iPad mini 16GB is still available on Walmart.com and sells for $199. The classic Black Friday Windows laptop configuration is priced at $279. The 15.6-inch Toshiba Satellite C55-B5240X features a Intel Celeron CPU, 4GB RAM, DVD Burner drive, 500GB HDD and comes pre-installed with Windows 10.

The stage is set for the Walmart Black Friday 2015 sale to begin. The first deals are just days away and Black Friday shoppers start to get excited. Walmart is expected to announce its early Black Friday plans end of this week.
