The much-awaited luxury car concept with autonomous technology was finally revealed at the Tokyo Motor Show.

Mercedes-Benz has long been teasing with its Vision Tokyo concept. Not much was known about the concept except for its name and the promise to expect something innovative. The Vision Tokyo was finally unveiled at the Tokyo Motor Show.

The layout of the car showed an embodiment of a luxury lounge. The concept is a futuristic and evolutionary approach to driving. The Tokyo Vision concept car will feature autonomous driving technology. The self-driving technology of the car will be so advanced that the interior resembles a lounge more than a car.

Gorden Wagener is the Daimler’s head of design at Mercedes-Benz. According to Wagener the Vision Tokyo concept is for the future generation of mega cities. The Vision Tokyo was also described as a car with pure and sensual styling definition.

The Vision Tokyo will be a new interpretation of modern luxury from Mercedes-Benz. The Vision Tokyo car will be physically displayed at the Tokyo Motor Show on Friday November 7th. The details of the car have been revealed. The physical display will show the interior and exterior of the five seater luxury car.

The interior of the Vison Tokyo car has been described as having a backlit, oval-shaped couch. The lounge type interior also contains wraparound LED screens and a holographic entertainment system. The core inspiration of the car comes from clubs and lounges for young people.

The seating arrangement allows face-to-face conversations. Representatives of Mercedes-Benz shared they wanted to make a car seem like a hip living space. The Vision Tokyo was also called a chill-out zone in the midst of mega city traffic mayhem by the German automakers.
