Harrison Ford talked about his plane crash recovery and his experience on the new Star Wars movie and why Luke Skywalker isn’t on the cover.

Harrison Ford is a real action hero in the real world sense. A few months back, the 73 years old actor was involved in a plane crash. A plane he was flying himself and its engine failed. Harrison crash landed on a golf course and was rushed to the hospital.

On Thursday, the star appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show dressed as a dog in a hotdog suit. Looking as fit as ever and as though the accident never happened. When asked about the plane crash, Harrison said that he remembered the engine stopping.

It was later determined as the cause of the crash. He said that he told the tower that he was landing. They had suggested that he kept on course and then make a landing but he decided otherwise.

The plane crash left Ford to recover in a hospital for a month out of which, he was unconscious for four whole days. He said that he didn’t remember the specifics when he came around.

His doctors revealed that he was on some strong anesthetics that caused retrograde amnesia. He joked that it was the kind of stuff that usually happens in movies. The accident left him with a head laceration and broken bones.

That was still not bad enough to keep the Indiana Jones actor to reprise his role as Han Solo in the latest Star Wars installment. In honor of discussing about what was to be expected from Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Kimmel was dressed as Princess Leia.

Harrison Ford had all praises to say about the movie. He appreciated J.J. Abrams for making a stellar movie. He said ‘J.J. has made an incredible movie. You will not be disappointed at all. I promise you.’ Not giving away too much, he said that the movie is very, very good. He included that the new cast – Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, Oscar Isaac – are phenomenal.

When asked if he preferred George Lucas or J.J. Abrams, Ford had a diplomatic approach when he answered, No, I love them all. George has been amazing to me. He’s been the author of the early chapters of my life and given me the opportunity to have a really extraordinary life. J.J. has given me a chance to have a really wonderful part in a great movie.

The most important question then was why Luke Skywalker had not been featured in either the trailer or the poster of the movie. Harrison joked that they didn’t have enough space. He later said that there was a good reason behind it. He said that he will not divulge any details about the end product. He wanted the audience to go to the theatres and experience it themselves.
