New Daily Show host Trevor Noah underwent an emergency operation this morning.

Did the news about Jon Stewart signing with HBO caused Trevor Noah's appendix to act up? The new Daily Show host underwent an emergency appendectomy this morning. The Daily Show team posted a message on Facebook that the procedure went well and Noah is recuperating from surgery.

Tonight's episode of the Daily Show will be an encore. Trevor Noah is though expected to be back again at work on Thursday to tape a new Daily Show edition.

Trevor Noah took over the Daily Show in September. The initial reviews were a bit on the negative side. He has certainly improved, but I am still missing Jon Stewart. Trevor Noah deserves though time to become great. The first episodes of Jon Stewart hosting the Daily Show are also hard to watch.

What drives me a bit crazy is that Trevor Noah says at the end of the show "And now your moments of zen." Jon Stewart always said "Moment of Zen." Why is he doing that? For some weird reason it bugs me each time he says moments and not moment.

Stewart is already back from retirement. Yesterday HBO announced a 4-year deal with Jon Stewart. The first content he produces will be digital shorts broadcasted on HBO Now.
