  • Climate Change could lead to a Lowering of Reproduction Rates

It has been found that climate change could lead to a lowering of reproduction rates. This is bad news for population demographics.

Climate change is not only a source of pessimism, it could lead to a lessening of human desire too. The heat wave can literally put the kibosh on any sexy thoughts or male virility/ female fertility levels. The hot and muggy weather is a real dampener as far as doing the beast with two backs is concerned.

Males and females just do not get in the mood for some action between the sheets when temperatures rise beyond a certain level. They would rather engage in a lazy siesta than get turned on for some romantic encounters.

According to a new study, in nearly a century of climate change in America, the signs were clear proof of diminishing fertility levels that matched the skyrocketing temperatures. When the thermometer reached the 80 degrees Fahrenheit stage, the coital frequency took a nosedive.

The study titled "Maybe Next Month? Temperature Shocks, Climate Change, and Dynamic Adjustments in Birth Rates" published by the National Bureau of Economic Research.

Births went down within a year of the heat wave and it takes time for the partners to get back into their previous hot-blooded mode of sexiness. Even a bit of extra heat for a single day may have devastating consequences.

A 0.4% drop in fertility levels may result from this sultry mood killer. It seems that the sweat and discomfort is just too much for many couples to take.

Birth rates take their time to regain normal levels after a heat wave. This of course has a negative impact on economic life. Even a country such as China seems to have thrown its one child policy into the dust bin of history.

Furthermore, summer births are often cases of unhealthy babies. The high temperatures cause the little bundles of joy to experience poor quality of life which is not a good thing.

What the latest evidence proves is that air conditioning is a great libido enhancer. It can even get a couple in the mood for some hanky panky. So what cannot be achieved through proper channel requires its completion by hook or by crook.

That is via technology. Natural ways have started to break down and so artificial methods such as air conditioning have to be settled for. But the only problem with this is that it is like the proverbial ostrich with its head stuck in the sand.

The outer temperature will get worse and worse thanks to too many people turning on the AC. Then what will we do about the outer hell?
