In addition to the Ridgeline Baja Race Truck, the Japanese automaker also showcased other new and improved models. Honda also dan early glimpse at the styling direction for the all-new 2017 Honda Ridgeline pickup that will hit dealer showrooms in the first half of next year.

Honda just displayed a number of new vehicles at the SEMA 2015 auto show in Las Vegas. First Honda displayed the Ridgeline Baja Race truck. This Race Truck comes in red, white and black Honda Racing livery.

It will compete in this year’s running of the SCORE Baja 1000. It is a tube-frame unlimited class off-road truck. And it is powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 which is being developed by Honda’s U.S. motorsports engineering arm and Honda Performance Development (HPD).

The body of Honda Ridgeline Baja Race truck is designed by Honda R&D Americas’ Los Angeles Design Studio with inspiration taken from the next-generation Ridgeline truck, also being designed and developed by Honda R&D in North America. The front fascia, hood, roof, bed and side profile design of this truck also provide hints at styling direction for all-new highly anticipated 2017 Honda Ridgeline.

“We’re happy to share some of the high-level styling direction for Ridgeline and to celebrate this desert race truck that signals the return of HPD power to Baja,” said Art St. Cyr, president of Honda Performance Development.

“While this race truck is unique and different from the production Ridgeline, it does a nice job of expressing not only our styling direction but also the fact that the Ridgeline, for all its unique qualities, has been and will continue to be a pickup with true truck capability.”

HPD and Proctor Racing Group partnered to develop the Ridgeline Baja race truck. And it has HPD’s HR35TT race engine, a 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 producing upwards of 550 horsepower and using the same block, cylinder heads and crankshaft as the production engine that will power the all-new Ridgeline.

Then Honda also revealed the Pilot Baja Chase Vehicle. The Pilot vehicle is an accessorized and customized version by Honda. The Pilot is a specially tuned 2016 Honda Pilot. The vehicle can be seen in special desert racing livery. The Pilot will operate as a support vehicle in Honda's SCORE Baja 1000 campaign.

Another vehicle showcased was the Pioneer 1000. The Pioneer 100 is the latest and most powerful side-by-side offering by Honda. The Pioneer 1000 has a customized desert raving livery. It will also accompany the Pilot Baja Chase Vehicle on the Baja peninsula to assist in the racing effort.

Similarly the 2016 Honda CR-Z hybrid sports coupe was also showcased. The vehicle will debut in North America first. The vehicle boasts new styling, upgraded equipment and other features. It also comes with a new EX-L Navi trim.

Another revelation by Honda was the 2016 Honda HR-V. The HR-V is four custom-designed HR-Vs from top U.S. tuning houses. The vehicle has the incredible customization potential of Honda's all-new gateway crossover SUV. The tuning houses behind the vehicle include Bisimoto Engineering and MAD Industries. The two other firms are Tjin Edition and Fox Marketing.

The 2016 Civic Sedan and the 2016 Pilot Elite Concept "Black Edition" have also been displayed by Honda.

Honda will also introduce an all-new, second-generation Ridgeline truck in the first half of 2016.
