  • Much awaited ‘World of Warcraft’ trailer finally released

The trailer shows the battle between the Azeroth humans and the Orcs 10 years after a film development was announced.

In 2006 a live action adaptation of the game ‘World of Warcraft’ was announced. Blizzard Entertainment announced the development of the film ‘World of Warcraft’. 10 years after the announcement finally a trailer was released after numerous delays.

The film has been made under the banner of Universal and Legendary Pictures studios. The first official trailer was released on Friday. The trailer shows the battle between the humans of Azeroth and the Orcs.

The story will revolve around Azeroth which is facing war from a group of Orc warriors. The people of Azeroth must unite with an enemy to defeat the orcs. The trailer was also released as part of the kick-off for Blizzcon.

World of Warcraft is the biggest franchise of Blizzard. The film will be directed by Duncan Jones. The film will focus more on some of the earlier parts of the games' lore. In the early plot lines the game focuses on the war between the orcs and humans.

The earlier stories are about the fleeing Orcs through a portal since their world is dying. The Orcs are then invading the human world. Later undead armies also make appearances in the game.

An extended preview of World of Warcraft was released at San Diego Comic-Con. But this is the first time Legendary Pictures officially unveiled footage online. World of Warcraft will mainly star Travis Fimmel, Paula Patton and Toby Kebbell. Other cast members include Dominic Cooper, and Ben Foster. The film World of Warcraft is slated for a release date of June 2016.
