Al Roker, the living legend in his time that reports the weather on NBC and the Today Show, is taking his gig on the road. The iconic weatherman is going to hit all 50 states - and report from them in under a week. He will make his way across the country using planes, trains, and automobiles to support Feeding America, an organization that fights to combat hunger in the United States.

The even kicked off on Friday and will continue until November 13, when Al will return home to his home in Rockefeller Plaza.

Fans can get involved by bringing non-perishable foods to the plaza during the show and the food will be donated to help those in need - especially during the holiday season.

"I know Al is ready for the country," Today's Matt Lauer says in the promo for the event. "I don't know if the country is ready for Al."
