The upcoming Crossover Touring 5 (XT5) which will replace the SRX, made its debut at the Dubai Auto Show before the LA Auto Show.

Cadillac just unveiled its 2017 XT5 model. The 2017 XT5 is going to replace the SRX Cadillac. The XT5 was unveiled at the Dubai Auto Show. The unveiling occurred on the eve of the Dubai Auto Show. The XT5 was reported to be exposed at the LA Auto Show.

It seems the XT5 made its debut before the LA Auto Show. However the XT5 will again be displayed at the Los Angeles Auto Show. The LA Auto Show is slated to take place next week. The XT5 comes powered up with a 3.6-liter V6 engine. The V6 can produce about 310 horsepower and 270 pound-feet of torque.

“The XT5 has a great stance, with wheels further to the corners and overhangs reduced,” said Andrew Smith, Cadillac executive director of global design. “Our team continues to evolve the design language of Cadillac.”

2017 Cadillac-XT5 production will start in the spring of 2016 in the US and China. The XT5 is the first model by Cadillac to compete with popular models from Audi, BMW and Mercedes.

“We believe that luxury crossover customers particularly focus on interior design and materials,” said Smith. “This design direction is predicated on modern craftsmanship and the artistic integration of technology.”

The XT5 is part of Cadillac’s new strategy. The new strategy is all about expanding the offerings in midsize crossover segments. Already a grant of $2 billion was given to Cadillac by GM to enhance and expand the line. The funds will work toward bringing Cadillac on the same platform as the German automakers.

“Our focus for the interior was sophistication and simplicity, ensuring an economy of lines to reduce visual noise and clutter,” Smith said. “A feeling of space is the ultimate luxury, so we sought to emphasize that. We also use a greater variety of authentic materials and palette of colors to deliver expressive interiors in all trim levels.”

The Cadillac’s marketing headquarter was recently moved to New York. According to President Johan de Nysschen it will offer closer range to new trends in luxury.

“The all-new XT5 not only enters the most popular segment in the worldwide luxury auto market, it is the first of four new crossovers from Cadillac,” said Cadillac President Johan de Nysschen. “It’s pivotal to our ongoing growth, which is why we’ve developed XT5 from the inside out to provide customers more space, more technology, more luxury and more efficiency.”

2017 Crossover Touring 5 (XT5) is the first of four new crossovers from Cadillac. The XT5 was developed from the inside out because it is pivotal to their ongoing growth. The XT5 will provide customers with more space, technology, luxury and efficiency. Cadillac will offer a Platinum edition for the first time in this segment.
